For fun I thought I'd share a few images I've been creating to go in my new home. My kitchen is chocolate brown and I'm decorating with sunflowers you could say.

My bedroom is blue with red posie and black accents. I just ordered the painting "The Singing Butler" by Jack Vettriano and the below shot, or one like it, may accompany the painting somehow... This old shed currently resides in my backyard. I say currently because we have plans to tear it down, but I thought it would be fun to incorporate it into my house somehow. I do think it has great textures which you will see more of another day.



And finally I want Ella to have a few pictures of herself in her bedroom. She loves pictures of herself. I thought it would be fun to have one with her and the temple. This is what I've got so far. I don't know if I'm sold on it...but it's kinda fun.



Well that's all for today I suppose. I'm 85% sure we're going to be having a house warming party, so I don't want to give everything away on the blog because that'd be no fun for those who attend. And if the city doesn't banish me from doing so, I might also have a studio open house for any of you strangers who don't really feel like strangers to me reading this. I just thought it would be fun to meet some of you. And a photographer I loved had one and I didn't go because I was in CT and I do wish I had been able to... So I'm curious if any of you live around here and would even come (I live in Salt Lake City)... Let's do a few polls:

Jordan & Nate

I've been trying to get all the proper licensing to run my business out of our new house and it's the biggest joke of my life. Seriously. I'm so ready to quit! BUT I love my clients, especially people like Jordan and Nate. They radiate happiness. So the thought of abandoning my photography isn't really an option. It's just something I like to tell myself so I feel like I'm in control when really I'm not.

I think dealing with the city is a lot like dealing with insurance companies. Enough said. I hope it's all worth it.

My husband has hung almost all of my million pictures in the new house and it's all coming together perfect. I still haven't decided which pictures to put in my office. I want them to be so perfect... so the debate continues. I may post about it later.

But in the meantime, I hope you all enjoy these two and their lovely chemistry. They were SO fun to shoot. I can't wait for Jordan's bridal shoot in a few weeks. I do love gorgeous girls in fabulous dresses, and I'm positive Jordan won't disappoint on either account. Especially because what makes a girl truly beautiful is what's on the inside.

Emilie & I were roommates in college and shared many, many laughs, secrets, gossips & tears about our silly lives, Mikes, callings, dates, jobs, etc. She heard all about Jordan and gave the funnest toast at our wedding. We both started photography businesses and this subject now domainates our conversations... BUT I'm so excited to know that soon, we can talk about husbands, kids, and married life. I don't think it's a secret these two have waited a long time to find each other, but it seems some things in life really are worth the wait. If you know Emilie, then I think you'll agree she's never looked so radiant. And I'm totally dazzled by Brian. He's perfect for her, exactly what she's been looking for. And believe me, she's looked! Congrats again you two.
