Baby Ruth

My husband thought of adding this little prop to our shoot ammo. Ruth loved it. We had originally wanted to maybe shoot outside, or at least capitalize on sunshine through the windows...but of course there wasn't any. It was totally pouring this day. But I was able to bring Ella along and we all had a great time. The highlight of the day (besides the obvious, these pictures) was Ella got to try out Ruth's walker. She loved it. So I guess I know what I'll be picking up at the next tag sale I find. Neither of the babies were in the best of moods, but I had a great time looking over Kari's awesome graphic design portfolio. I can't wait for GNO this Thursday! Or maybe I'm a bit more excited for our family shoot with Ruth, her mommy, and her daddy! And we will wait for sunshine or bust!!!

Carter Sterling Cheney

Carter is as dashing as his name sounds. I think he's a mini Kirk, with a head full of his hair and everything, but a few extra wrinkles. But I'm sure he'll grow into that skin soon. I'm learning all too well how fast babies change and grow with my own Ella. So it was such a treat to be around this little newborn today and just remember how tiny they begin. Carter will be a week old tomorrow. So you do the math, and yes, Gretchen had a baby six days ago. I think she looks absolutely amazing. She totally has the new mommy glow. Don't you agree? Check out what she's been up to for the past nine months with Kirk's watchful care. I just love forever families!!

Trouble Makers

This little dog got us in big trouble! Apparently we attempted to take pictures behind Yale President Levin's house and the dog, unbeknown to us, made an appearance inside Levin's house, his kitchen, his bedroom... Ya. And I thought kids were hard to keep track of! Once we were out Lenin's wife's site, we all had a good laugh about it. And the fun continued as you're about to see. What an awesome couple they are!
