Kaury & Nathan

Kaury said that she took a Bedazzler to her shoes just for me! What a woman she is. The ceremony took place on the University of Chicago campus where Kaury received her undergraduated degree. I loved that the girls got ready in a class room...

My new favorite detail shot is of the clock just before the big moment...

And of course there's nothing like the groom's face when he first sees his bride...

Kaury & Nathan took a moment at the beginning of their ceremony to honor their grandparents. It was so beautiful.

I loved the sheer elegance of Kaury's vintage gown...

And there's something truely special about a mom giving away her only child.

Kaury rented a "party bus" for the bridal party. We drove around downtown Chicago for a few hours and it was seriously so much fun!

This statue is called "the bean". What more could you ask for when in need of a group shot background...Thank you Millenium Park.

We lucked out and the rain stayed away for the most part while we shot, but we had to incorporate these umbrellas anyway...

And then suddenly we were surrounded by flowers. Breathtaking.

The bridesmaids (with good reason) were getting cold so we decided to get a few more shots of the bride and groom alone, before we called our party bus to an end.

I first noticed Nathan's socks during the ceremony.

This may be my favorite shot of Kaury simply because her expression is so natural.

It's hard to tell, but Nathan's is actually doing pushups while caring his newly minted wife atop.

And then we arrived at Carnivale. What an amazing place for a party.

Each table had it's own theme/flower arrangement. All brightly colored to match.

Before you look at this shot, make sure Michael Jackson's "Thriller" is running through your mind...

I once heard a rumor that Kaury admitted part of the reason they were getting married was so I could photograph the wedding. And while I'd love to think that's true and feel all wonderful inside...obviously the real reason they got married is because they are simply perfect for one another, and completely in love. And while we all know "love" isn't enough to make a marriage last a lifetime, hard work and friendship is. And I have no doubt these two are up to the challenge.

I am completely blown away by the black and whites in this post. They truly look like classic photos you might see in a coffee table book. Amazing job. And what a beautiful couple!

Liz!! You are seriously amazing. Everytime I look at your pictures it seems like you get better. When we are making money I am going to fly you to wherever we are to take our family pictures. I honestly haven't seen anyone take better pictures than you.
